Food Sharing Tips for Beginners

Food Sharing Tips for Beginners

Food sharing may seem like a crazy concept to many. However, people need to understand that the food we throw away could have gone to better use. It may be cliché to say that there are people out there who can barely afford to eat but the tragedy of it all is that this remains true even in this day and age.

  • Make A Plan – If you are thinking about making food sharing a regular thing, then it would be best for you to plan it out ahead of time. It would be great if you could work out how you plan on giving away the extra food you have. For instance, are you going to do it personally or are you contributing to the efforts of a larger group? These details must be properly worked out beforehand.

  • Avoid Food Wastage – This is probably the easiest way to share food. Check the pantry for stuff that is nearing the expiration date. If you have no use for it, then instead of letting it go bad, give it away.

All of us can do something to help out. It is as easy as doing the tricks presented above.
