Food Sharing 101

July 24, 2017 By Jack Franklin

Food Sharing 101

Giving away food may seem like an expensive endeavor but believe us when we say that it really does not have to be. If you make sure that you have worked out all the details, then the financial side of it will be the least of your worries. This article presents a couple of things you must take into consideration if you plan on taking on the challenge of food sharing.

  • Make it a Group Effort – Food sharing is best done collectively. This certainly lightens the load in terms of expenses. After all, it takes a whole community to ensure that all its members are getting by. That being said, you can make your own food sharing project with your friends or you can join other organizations with the same advocacy.

  • Integrate it into your Budget – The best way to avoid unnecessary spending would be to integrate your project into your budget. This means you will need to set a certain amount for this particular purpose. It doesn’t have to be expensive. After all, how much is one more extra meal’s worth of groceries?

Give food sharing a chance. Help out your community.
